Tom Skelton

Tom Skelton DL has lived and worked in the Oxfordshire town of Charlbury since 2005. He is the co-owner of House & Carriage Ltd, a removals and storage company, and he previously managed a chain of restaurants in London. He leads his business from the front, and takes pride in his long serving team, particularly in helping to nurture the next generation.

Tom is a director of ‘Maymessy’, a cookery school and therapeutic garden, based in South Oxfordshire, and is an active supporter of The Oxfordshire Community Foundation (OCF). He has an advisory roll with ‘Pub Club’, a community interest company, that provides education and opportunity in the hospitality industry for young adults in West Oxfordshire.

Tom is a keen tennis and Padel player, an enthusiastic gardener, and even more enthusiastic dog owner. He lives with Sean, his partner, and his two best friends, their dogs called Joy & Bashful.

His business and community interests have offered Tom the privilege of meeting a large number of people throughout the county, from all walks of life, and has led him to have a deep sense of community. He brings this commitment of duty and responsibility to the office of the Lord Lieutenant, he very much hopes to make a positive impact, and to help shine a light on those individuals and enterprises who work so hard to make our county a very special place to live.
