There were contributions from Ukrainian children and Polish children who sang in their native languages. Musicians from the local community sang songs from the movies. Deputy Lieutenant Sir Tony Baldry and the President of Rotary were in attendance. The ladies from the Polish, Ukrainian, Christian and Sikh Communities made delicious traditional food. Beau Norton a tribute artist, Stuart Layzell, Evie Farrell, Polish Saturday School choir, Valeria Obertas (Ukrainian guest) did a talk about her paintings.
Christian Community representatives included Anita Higham from St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Revd. Steve Short from St. Paul’s Church of England Church of England, The Dedringers from the Haven United Reformed Church.
Yehor Hvozd, a young man from Ukraine also joined in. Manvir Singh from the Sikh Community spoke about the connection of Sikhs in the British Army and their contribution to serving in the First and Second World Wars, and the service of the Sikhs to the British Empire.
