Meanwhile, Lynda switched her full-time job to act as a Senior Parliamentary Assistant carrying out casework for Ed Vaizey, MP across the Wantage and Didcot constituency.

In 2015 she became the Oxfordshire County Chairman of the Royal British Legion (RBL) then became a national Trustee in 2019.  She now serves as National Vice Chair of the RBL.  Also building on her interest in the Armed Forces, Lynda is the County Chair of SERFCA – which works with the reserve forces and cadet groups throughout Oxfordshire.
