One World Festival at the Ashmolean Museum

On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February, the annual One World Festival took place at the Ashmolean Museum. The inclusive family-focused Festival aims to celebrate and highlight the many communities and faiths in the county through an exciting programme of activities, performances, talks and crafts for people of all ages.

The Lord-Lieutenant attended the Festival on Saturday. Alongside the Museum’s Director, Xa Sturgis, she said a few words to welcome all to the Festival, and thanked the Ashmolean Museum “for hosting this memorable celebration of the diversity of faiths and communities in Oxfordshire.  The One World Festival is an inspiring illustration of the positive, inclusive events volunteers are leading throughout the county.”
