Felicity Dick

Felicity has been involved in a large range of charities over many years.   A significant focus has been with organisations supporting children and young people.   She has been an Ambassador for PACT (Parents and Children Together) and ran their Sure Start Sutton Courtenay Family Centre for several years.   She is a Patron of the Abingdon Carousel Family Centre and has been a Trustee of Oxfordshire Youth, a founding Director of YoCO (Youth Challenge Oxfordshire) and established a Youth Group OX14 in her village. 

Her Charity interests also extend to the broader community and she is a Patron of Archway (a charity alleviating loneliness) and Oxford Poverty Action Trust (OxPAT)   She was a founding Director of the Appleton Community Shop in 2000 which is still thriving and still operating with 70-100 volunteers!   Felicity has also been a past chair of the Oxford Playhouse Development Committee and she and her husband Richard through the Lucy Group, are still keen supporters of the Playhouse Marquee a community outreach project.

Formerly a Trustee of Earth Trust and founder of Green Appleton (where she lives with her husband), Felicity maintains her interest in the environment helping create and maintain wildlife friendly and biodiverse environments locally.  

Currently, Felicity is a Director of the Oxfordshire Indie (Independent) Book Fair, promoting and encouraging independent authors, publishers and printers, through their annual event in Oxford.

Felicity is our link town DL for Abingdon, a member of the Vale of White Horse DL Group and holds the brief of keeping the Lieutenancy informed on matters in children’s education and preschool provision.
