Robert Buckeldee

Robert Buckeldee moved to Oxfordshire from London in 1988 when he joined the Nielsen business in Oxford. Over a career of 30 years he undertook leadership roles at local, regional, and global levels. Robert has experience of working with some of the largest global retailing and manufacturing organisations.

Since leaving Nielsen in 2018, Robert has run his own business consultancy, working with both commercial and not-for-profit organisations.

Robert was Chair of Oxfordshire Scouts from 2000 until 2015.  He remains involved, currently chairing the County Awards Advisory Group. From 2006 to 2016, Robert was also Chair of Trustees of Edukid, a charity supporting children into education in Cambodia, Uganda and Palestine.

Robert is an active member of St Mary’s Church in Kidlington, serving as church warden and on the PCC at various times through the last 25 years. Robert is also a trustee of Oxfordshire Community & Voluntary Action (OCVA) since 2021.

He was appointed a DL in 2007 and currently serves as the DL link for Kidlington and leads the Cherwell District DL Group.
