Tree planting at Grey’s Court, Henley

The first official event in Oxfordshire celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee took place today near Henley-on-Thames.   Alongside by her two living predecessors, Sir Tim Stevenson and Sir Hugo Brunner, Marjorie Glasgow paid tribute to Her Majesty by planting a circle of cherry trees at Grey’s Court near Henley.

Grey’s Court, now owned by the National Trust, was Sir Hugo's childhood home.

Also in attendance at the ceremony was the Trust's Regional Director, Nicola Briggs, and the county's High Sheriff, Imam Monawar Hussain.
